Tyrannosaurus v Triceratops

Is that a rustling in those trees?

Uh oh. It's not a great start for our triceratops, with the t-rex bursting out from the trees and catching it by surprise. The battle is almost over before it's even begun.

Fortunately for the triceratops it is able to swerve at the last moment, avoiding the t-rex's huge jaws and incredible bite. The tyrannosaurus has now lost the element of surprise - perhaps this battle might be more even than first thought!

Take two

The two beasts then face off, with both threatening to charge at the other. Neither wants to be on the receiving end of a direct hit, with both the t-rex's bite and a blow from the triceratop's horns likely to cause significant damage to the victim.

ow, that hurt

But what's this? The triceratops has become bogged down in the mud! It's only for a brief moment but it has given the t-rex the opportunity to take advantage. Can it get a decisive chomp on the off balance triceratops? Can it? Can it ...

Final showdown

ow, that hurt

Oh, so close for the t-rex! It manages to lunge in get it's teeth into the triceratops but it's only a graze. Worse still, the triceratops manages to thrust at the t-rex and catch it with it's impressive horns in the process. Both dinosaurs are wounded but survive to fight another day.

The t-rex has had enough and it retreats to the trees. There's no triceratops on the menu today!

Result - It was in the balance for a while, but the triceratops managed to stand its ground. A score draw!
