Parasaurolophus was a mid-sized herbivore which lived in the late cretaceous period. It's defining feature was a 1.8m (6ft) long hollow head crest at the back of it's skull. It is thought that parasaurolopholus would blow air backwards from it's nasel passageways, producing a loud trumpet sound.
Well built but with shorter limbs than other hadrosaurids, parasaurolopholus is thought to have roamed forests, looking for food. It had a wide, flat beak which it would have used to break off vegetation.
Parasaurolophus had a tall, thin tail which may have been brightly coloured to attract the attention of other members of it's species.
"If you're struggling with its name, just remember it's pronounced pah-ra-SOR-mumble-mumble."
