Brachiosaurus

...back

Like a diplodocus but with a head for heights

Brachiosaurus towered over other dinosaurs due to it's overall size, long neck and upright stance, not too disimilar to that of a modern day giraffe.

Standing so tall gave the brachiosaurus a distinct advantage over other sauropods, enabling it to graze on foliage up to 15m from the ground whilst keeping all four limbs on the ground.

To find its food brachiosaurus would probably have relied on its sense of smell as its sight is thought to have been poor.

The name 'arm lizard' comes from the fact that the brachiosaurus had longer front legs than rear legs, resulting in its back sloping down from the front to the back.

"Brachiosaurus is the dinosaur you wanted if you ever got your kite stuck in a really tall tree."
